The Lodi Arts Commission is looking for Lodi-based, nonprofit arts groups to receive grants.

The commission is able to allocate grant funds each year to deserving arts groups for their projects. Organizations that have received grants in the past are the Lodi Community Art Center for their art shows, Changing Faces Theater Company for their theatrical productions, the Central Valley Youth Symphony, the Stockton Symphony Association and the Lodi Sandhill Crane Association. Individual grants awarded last year ranged from $1,000 to $11,000 to fund projects that enriched the Lodi community.

The application packet can be obtained by emailing arts coordinator Sabrina Willis-Bartram. Organizations interested in a grant must have nonprofit status, liability insurance, a clear plan and budget to execute the project and letters of support, and follow all of the other guidelines detailed in the application.

For more information, call 209-333-6800, ext. 2458. The deadline is 5 p.m. April 2.
