Four people in their late teens were cited shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday on suspicion of spraying graffiti, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Eric James Cavenderrogan, who lives in a rural area of southwest Lodi, and Joey David White Aparicio of Stockton were cited by the CHP in a vineyard northwest of Highway 99 and Peltier Road. Both are 19 years old. The other two suspects' names were not disclosed because they are 17 years old. One of the 17-year-olds is male, and the other is female.

Two CHP officers said they were on routine patrol on southbound Highway 99 when they saw a vehicle with its headlights out on the western frontage road. Officers took the Peltier Road exit and pulled up to the vehicle, according to a CHP report.

An officer detained the two occupants in the vehicle and chased the other two into a nearby vineyard, according to the report. They were captured after a quarter-mile chase into the vineyard, the CHP said.

Officers said they found a large amount of spray paint in the vehicle's trunk. The suspects were found to be major role players in spraying graffiti, according to the CHP report. They are known to spray paint "NEM," "NEMESIS" and "ADOK."

Anyone who thinks they may have been a graffiti victim by these suspects may call 209-943-8666.
