The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:

Today

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key item:

— Carlos Villapudua becomes chairman of the Board of Supervisors, replacing Leroy Ornellas, the 2009 chairman.

When and where: 11 a.m., county administration building, 44 N. San Joaquin St., sixth floor, Stockton.

Galt Youth Committee

Meeting postponed until Jan. 11.

Tuesday

Galt City Council

Key items:

— Appropriate $59,000 for the sphere of influence supplemental environmental impact report.

— Appropriate $11,000 for probe housing units for the arsenic treatment project.

— Cooperative agreement with California Department of Transportation for Highway 99-Twin Cities Road interim interchange improvements.

— Presentation of award for Caring and Compassion Character Awareness.

— Youth master plan to be presented by Galt Area Youth Coalition.

— Award $571,000 contract for synthetic turf for Walker Community Park, to be built in west Galt.

— Award contract for construction management and engineering for the city wastewater treatment plant upgrade.

— Public hearing to consider joining the CaliforniaFirst Property Assessed Clean Energy Program.

— Congressional funding requests for 2010.

Lodi Recreation Commission

Key items:

— Access and design concept for Mokelumne Water Treatment Plant.

— Discussion of Mokelumne River Challenge and updates on DeBenedetti Park, Pigs Lake and Proposition 84 meeting.

When and where: 7 p.m. Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St.

Morada Area Association

Key items:

— Anything of interest to the Morada community.

When and where: 7 p.m., Spring Christian Fellowship Church, 4799 Foppiano Lane, Morada.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

— Continue declaration of a local heath emergency.

— Presentation of California water map by Public Works Director Tom Flinn.

— Public hearing to consider expenditure plans for 2009-10 State Citizens' Options for Public Safety program.

— Appointment of two members to the county Commission on Aging. One will represent the disabled. Two members of the county Mental Health Board are also scheduled to be appointed.

When and where: 9 a.m., county administration building, 44 N. San Joaquin St., sixth floor, Stockton.

Lodi City Council shirtsleeve

Meeting is canceled.

Lodi Greenbelt Task Force meeting is canceled.

Wednesday

Lodi City Council

Key items:

— Approve plans for Phase I improvements for DeBenedetti park, 2350 S. Lower Sacramento Road.

— Receive Advisory Water and Wastewater usage-based rates for the purpose of research and customer comparison.

— Award contract to Lamont Financial Service and Stone & Youngberg to help with financing for the Mokelumne Water Treatment Plant.

— Presentation of the draft environmental impact report for the new city General Plan.

— Approve plans for 2010 alley reconstruction project.

— Proclamation commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Boosters of Boys/Girls Sports Organization, commonly known as BOBS.

— Accept improvements under contract for building demolition at 17 E. Elm St.

— Approve memorandum of understanding between the city and the Lodi Police Officers Association, and between the city and the Lodi Mid-Management Association.

Mokelumne Rural Fire District board

Key items:

— Review draft copy of the financial audit for the 2008-09 fiscal year.

— Discuss Firefighters Bill of Rights.

— Board of directors committee assignments.

When and where: 7 p.m., fire station, 13157 E. Brandt Road, Lockeford.
