Lodi police are looking for two men who authorities said failed in their attempt to rob two women early Monday morning.
A woman was walking through a parking lot around 1:45 a.m. near the 200 block of South School Street when two men approached, Lodi Police Lt. David Griffin said. The men, described as Hispanic, grabbed the woman’s purse, but she didn’t let go. They dragged her several feet before giving up and fleeing the scene empty-handed.
Later that morning, two men approached a woman sitting in a truck near the intersection of Lower Sacramento Road and Locust Street, Griffin said. One of the men used a handgun to knock on the truck’s window. But the woman sped away, unharmed.
Police believe the two attempted robberies are connected based on descriptions of the suspects, Griffin said.
