Jessie is a sweet, approximately 1 1/2-year-old Brindle labrador mix. The color is called a mismark in labradors. She was rescued along with her 8 six-week old puppies. They are now about 8 weeks old. She was brought in by an animal control officer. The puppies are possibly mixed with shepherd.
Jessie is at least 15 pounds underweight, and so we are feeding her and the puppies four times daily. Her coat is looking much better, but she needs to gain a lot of weight. Jessie will be current with her vaccinations, will be spayed and will have a microchip before going to her forever home. She and her puppies could use a foster home. They will be ready to go to permanent homes in 3 to 3 1/2 weeks.
Jessie is an exceptionally nice dog who enjoys time out in the play yard away from her babies, she plays with the staff and seems to do well on a leash. She is really clean and would make a good house dog. She even moves her puppies over to use the potty pads. She will be a loving companion,
Jessie is being offered for adoption through Animal Friends Connection, a Lodi nonprofit organization dedicated to helping companion animals since 1990. For more information about Jessie and her puppies, call or 209-365-0535.
