Waste Management should review the guidelines for recycling that they give to Lodi residents. I think that one of the factors with a lower volume is that the guidelines call for a pretty pristine set of recyclable items. There are many items that even my children have learned should be recyclable, but are actually not wanted. I'm not sure that contest regarding placement of the correct items into the bins many months ago was the best idea. When we ran a recycling program at my office many years ago, the policy of "when in doubt, recycle it" was very successful.
