Jay Samone: So what's going on with the moderation around here? Why was my comment removed? I didn't violate any of the rules and if someone flagged my comment as "abusive" it was because they didn't agree with what I had to say - definitely NOT because I was disobeying the rules of conduct.
If the moderator's going to remove posts for having an opinion - then none of these posts should be on here. [thumbdown]

Sunny Samuels: First in response to Peggy; Really? Make fire places illegal for children to be around? Maybe next you will advise against children riding in cars on freeways.
Secondly Per the FDA and the US government marijuana is NOT a narcotic. It sure sounds great in local newspaper headlines though. "Legally speaking, Marijuana is NOT a narcotic. Marijuana is essentially Cannabis and thus Cannabis is not a narcotic either. The definition of the word Narcotic can be a noun or an adjective. There are marijuana could be used in speech as being a narcotic, but the word in legal terms would not apply. In the federal controlled substances act Marijuana is listed as a non-narcotic. Cocaine is also NOT a narcotic. However, opium and heroin are narcotics."

advocate: Right on Jay. Lucky for this child the police were able to intervene. That particular motel in Galt isn't the place I'd recommend to anyone, having stayed there twice when it was first built when doing a project in Sacramento. I wish you a very merry Christmas and let's get together and have coffee soon.

pagan356: Any kind of smoke around a child should be illegal, be it cigarette, marijuana or fireplace. Its a danger to them and their development. The previous commenter sounds like a friend or she/he does this around their own child.

Abe: Uh, marijuana isn't a narcotic, folks. What's next, woman drinking whiskey in room with kid, take the kid away from her? Woman looking cross-eyed at kid, take the kid? Where are we heading with this stuff? Let the government have custody of kids at birth, then lend it back to the parents on good behavior?
