City swim team participants could be asked to pay an additional $25 in fees for the 2014 season under an increase scheduled to be discussed at today’s regular Galt City Council meeting. There has not been an increase since 2008, according to city staff.
Additionally, council members will be asked to approve subsidizing the Galt Gators Recreational Swim program by funding additional increased fees so that participants do not have to face a hike greater than $25. Total fees are going up to $204 per swimmer; participants may only be asked to pay $110 each.
The change is related to the Northern California Swim League raising its fees.
Today’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the city council chambers at City Hall, 380 Civic Drive, in Galt.
