California Highway Patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting on southbound Highway 99 south of Harney Lane at around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

At the scene, they found a victim who had been shot in the neck, according to a press release from the CHP. The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening, the press release said.

Officers are seeking a suspect who they described as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s with a short, full beard. The suspect was last seen driving a 2002 to 2004 dark gray or charcoal Chevrolet Trailblazer with stock rims, according to the press release.
