San Joaquin County Superior Court will continue to receive funding for its DUI court program, the court announced Monday.
The court will receive $607,052 in funding from the California Office of Traffic Safety with support from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Funds will be used to support program operations and services between Oct. 1 of this year and Sept. 30, 2014.
The DUI court team, which consists of four compliance officers, one case manager, and one probation officer, monitor repeat offenders in the program. The program includes regular court appearances, accountability to fulfill both Department of Motor Vehicle and court-sanctioned sentencing mandates, regular drug and alcohol testing, use of Ignition Interlock Device, homes inspections and more.
