The Kautz family, owners of Ironstone Vineyards, Leaping Horse Vineyards and Sonoma Creek, has donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross to assist with the ongoing hurricane relief effort.
Beginning last week, neck hangers on bottles of the three brands alerted consumers that $1 from the purchase of that wine will assist with food, shelter and medical care of those affected by Hurricane Katrina.
"In looking at the number of corporations that have contributed time, money and necessary supplies, we're proud to be a part of this tremendous relief effort," Chairman John Kautz said in a press release. "The people affected along the Gulf Coast are going to need lots and lots of help for a long time to come. We hope that our efforts will make a difference."
