Thor is an approximately 1 ½-year-old German Shepherd. He was rescued with his female German Shepherd dog friend named Gretchen. Thor is neutered, will be current with his vaccinations and will have a microchip before going to his new forever home.
Thor is friendly, affectionate, loving and is a happy boy! He has prey drive so no cats and probably no small dogs. He is not aggressive in anyway. Thor is definitely a ball-fetching kind of guy - loves it. He would be a great dog for many canine sports — agility, rally, tracking and herding.
Thor seems house trained since he is very clean in his kennel. He of course gets along with Gretchen but not sure about other dogs. Thor is fine living with a female dog, but a male would depend entirely on the other dog and the owner’s ability as a pack leader, so probably avoiding another male would be best. He is good on a leash and knows the commands “sit” and “down.” He is an active dog so an active family who would take him along with them would be what is best suited for him. He will be a great companion. Taking him through a training class would also be a great thing to do.
Thor is being offered for adoption through Animal Friends Connection, a Lodi nonprofit organization dedicated to helping companion animals since 1990. For more information about Thor, call 209-368-1761 or 209-365-0535.
