Three people beat up a man and stole his car in Lodi early Monday morning.

The 27-year-old was asleep near the intersection of Oak Street and Central Avenue when two men and one woman dragged the man out of his car and began kicking and punching him, Lodi Police Sgt. Doug Chinn said.

The three suspects took the man’s wallet then drove away in his car. The victim, who sustained a broken nose, ran home and called the police.

Lodi Police are still searching for the suspects but have little information about the robbery, Chinn said.
