Oh I forgot, for one of you bloggers that would suggest a crescent wrench, the head of the wrench is such that a cresent wrench cannot make the proper contact to remove the nut or bolt. Nice try this the same.

There is a bolt made today that requires a special tool to install and remove it from it`s fixture. Not hexed or square, without the proper tool the bolts stay in place. Perhaps the city should look into using them, might save the loss of security cameras. Only other way is with a cutting torch.

This story sucks, just last week I left my garage door open for 5 minutes and went inside, when I came back out I found a person walking out with my generator. Nothing suprises me any more. Lock your stuff up, these people are getting bold. Its time to fight back.

I merely suggested they weld the bolts from now on to "delay as long as possible future type thefts or prevent them entirely.I hate having to explain to you what is easy to understand if you read each post slowly first, before choosing to respond. As for the words "Illegal" the word in your context, means that Lodi City Council is Violating Statutory City, County, State or Federal Law. My point was that you are always alleging something the City is doing that supposedly is "Illegal"! I merely pointed out an observation that "If any act committed by the city was "Illegal"...you continuously refuse to take such evidence to the proper "Court having jurisdiction over such a criminal matter. In what way did I confuse you?I thought I said things pretty clear.

Judging from the pictures here it looks to me like the camera mounting plate was mounted to the concrete with 3/8 or 1/2 drop-ins with female threads that accomodate the same size bolt with male threads. They are easy to disassemble by merely backing out the bolt from the anchor. I've used thousands of them to mount various type brackets and braces to concrete or block structures or pads. The same goes for the benches, I'd assume. That explains why there was no noise indicating that there was no cutting or burning used. A ratchet and socket are used to install the bolts and just as easily remove them. Is that too detailed for you T&C? I do notice you needed to throw the word "illegal" in there, too. Hopefully they'll bolt down your blockbuster bus stop bench when you get one.

I'm not surprised of this theft. People hang out in the Salas parking lot all night long. (Why would you park in the Salas parking lot at 1 am?) This park should close at dusk (if no sports are being played) Lock the gates at dusk and get some lights in the parking lot.

Ok....OK! I admit it. I did it. I took the bleachers and installed them in the back of my van so that I could transport my mother-in-law to the doughnut shop. She just doesn't fit in the regular seats anymore. Yes, I also stole the wide load signs off the truck. I do have to be legal when I transport her!

Shouldn't this fleecing be front page news? It won't even be in the Sentinel. They didn't even have courage to print it as an important issue listed in the agenda for tonight's council meeting, yet they listed others. Here's the agenda for tonight's meeting: http://lodica.granicus.com/DocumentViewer.php?file=lodica_3af555a898eec1b10913a84751d09bd7.pdf.

Why not the sweet deal your city council is giving the developer of the motel on Kettleman Lane who says he lost $120,000 in a few months and cant make his 28,000 semi-annual payment at 5.801% interest and is asking council to suspend those payments until January 1, 2011 and reducing their interest rate yo 1.60%? I'll post the link to the original contract when I find and the new proposed agreement and you can see for yourself. It's development impact fees and were spread over 2 payments annually for 10 years. Now doesn't that sound like a deal for the good old boys? The original contract called for default if payments were 15 days late. Why didn't your three yes votes on the council proceed with default? Why not extend the same courtesy to all foreclosed home buyers? And lower their interest rate by over 4%? I could tell you who these parties are but I'll post some important links you can research yourself and maybe you'll see how these wealthy and well connected work together in their fleecing of Lodi.

cogito, having spent many an unpleasant hour sitting on those cold aluminum benches at the grape bowl watching my grandson play football and numerous other times, finally using that fantastic education I received, I brought folding chairs which not only have a back rest but a cushion to keep my skinny azz warm. There I offer a solution if aluminum should ever replace those wooden benches. Next thing people will complain about is getting splinters in there tushes. Just can`t win.

My theory is that they weren't stealing them to sell for scrap. I think the benches were stolen by parents who have had to sit on those cold, hard benches to watch their kids play sports. Those benches are horrendously uncomfortable. The wood should be a marked improvement. Whoever it was, thank you!

Six backstop pads were also stolen from the girls softball field a few days ago. They were cut out of the vinyl covers and taken. These are the pads that protect the girls in case they run into the wall chasing a grounder and also absorbe the energy of a past ball so it doesn't bounce back and hit someone in the back of the head.
