The Woodbridge Municipal Advisory Council will discuss on Thursday the possibility requesting that a library bookmobile come to town.

The Stockton-San Joaquin County Library system offers bookmobile service in areas like Lockeford and Clements, which don’t have a public library.

The bookmobile comes to Clements from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursdays at Third Street and Highway 88; from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. on Thursdays at Parkdale Street and Lockewood Lane in Lockeford’s Bear Creek neighborhood; and from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. each Thursday at Cotton and Laird streets in Lockeford.

The bookmobile is also available on Fridays in Lathrop and three Stockton neighborhoods.

The city of Lodi has its own public library and is not part of the Stockton-San Joaquin County system.

In other action Thursday, the Woodbridge MAC will:

  • Hear public safety reports from the county Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol.
  • Discuss Woodbridge development guidelines.
  • Hear a presentation from Woodbridge Grange.

Thursday’s meeting, open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m. at the Lodi Elks Lodge, 19071 Lower Sacramento Road, Woodbridge.
