A Lodi nursing and rehabilitation center gave some generous gifts to three long-time employees on Tuesday. Vienna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center gave Cleo Gabriel a 2013 Honda Passport for her 31 years of service at the center on South Ham Lane. Gabriel started at Vienna on May 24, 1982, and takes care of the patients and their families.
Vienna also gave grandfather clocks to Linda Araiza and Rebecca Dumaoal for their 25 years of service.
Araiza came to Lodi in 1985, when her husband was transferred by General Mills to the Lodi plant. She joined Vienna three years later as a certified nursing aid. She is now ward clerk, making sure that patients make it to their appointments.
Born in the Philippines, Dumaoal moved to the United States in 1984. She took two years off for maternity leave from 1986 to 1988. Dumaoal is now a certified nursing aid. She said she plans to remain at Vienna until her retirement.
