U.S. Coast Guard officials reported a delay on Wednesday of a wayward houseboat being transported to Herman and Helen's Marina in Stockton.

The barge, converted into a three-story houseboat, was scheduled to be towed during high tide Wednesday between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., according to marina manager Chuck Spurlock. It was expected to take two hours from that time for a tugboat to tow the houseboat to the marina, Spurlock said.

Another update: The Coast Guard instructed the operator of the tugboat to wait until at least today to tow the houseboat to Herman and Helen's Marina because there was too much boat traffic on the San Joaquin River. So says marina manager Chuck Spurlock. I'm still waiting for confirmation from the Coast Guard.
