Galt police arrested five men — including four in Stockton — on suspicion of stealing catalytic converters.
Police received a call around 7 a.m. Wednesday. The caller reported that two suspects were seen stealing a catalytic converter. Galt police officers located the vehicle the caller described the suspects as using, and arrested 57-year-old Ludovico Carbonell of Stockton on suspicion of theft.
Hours later, Galt detectives arrested four additional suspects in Stockton in connection with the same theft. During the arrest, detectives said they found a second stolen catalytic converter.
Authorities are still working to confirm the identities of the four suspects arrested.
