The Lodi Unified School District will be holding a fundraising event May 14.
Bring your unwanted electronics to the district's warehouse, 851 Guild Ave., between 8 a.m. and noon. Microwaves, TVs, computers and copiers are among the acceptable items.
There is no charge to participants for dropping off unwanted electronic items. Instead, the district receives a state-mandated price-per-pound rate on covered electronic devices through the State of California for the collection of these items. The state charges the consumer for the collection and recycling of electronic items when the items are purchased.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go into the district's General Fund.
