“Some Republicans contend Obama was born in Kenya. That’s just ridiculous. He was born in Honolulu — in a manger.”

Political comedian Will Durst of San Francisco added levity to the Leadership Forum on Thursday, taking humorous shots at President Obama, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and many others. Here are some highlights of his performance:

On some people having trouble with Obama: “Some people just can’t get used to the idea that the president is a black man living in public housing.”

On Obama having a hands-off style: “No matter what you think of Obama’s policies, you have to admire his ability not to get involved in them.”

On partisan myopia: “Obama could come up with a cure for cancer and some (Republicans) would criticize him for not supporting big pharma.”

On Obama’s view of business: “He said the private sector is doing fine. Well, his private sector may be doing fine, but mine could use a job and maybe a blue pill.”

On Donald Trump running for president, and his combover: “He wasn’t serious about running. Can you imagine what would happen to that combover when he gets into the rotor wash (of the presidential helicopter)?”

On Democrats backing research: “Sure they are pushing stem cell research. That’s the only way they can grow a spine.”

On former governor Sarah Palin: “She wrote a book that sold over a million copies and 85 percent of the people who bought it had not read a book in five years — she is the queen of the illiteratti.”

On former presidential candidate Rick Santorum: “He’s like Mr. Rogers with rabies.”

On former president candidate Newt Gingrich: “The evil cherub.”

On presumptive Republican presidential nominee Romney: “He’s got the personality of a picnic fork with three tines snapped off ... you might say he suffers from electile dysfunction.”

On former vice-president Dick Cheney: “He had five heart attacks and didn’t die. He’s so evil, hell keeps pushing him back out ... how can a guy without a heart have five heart attacks?”

Durst also commented on a group of nudists who’ve insisted on appearing in public in San Francisco: “Why is it the people you don’t want to see naked take their clothes off, and the people you’d like to see take their clothes off won’t do it?”

Oh Ms Bobin... of course I have a sense of humor... why else would I bother to read your posts which is rife with comical distractions, distortions and out right intentional falsehoods. They are so blatant and obvious that I am amazed at your ability to write them with a straight face. You are very good at it.

Thanks for keeping a smile on my face.

That is because you have absolutely no sense of humor.

I'm surprised you didn't take offense at the jab at the love of your life, Sarah Palin.
