Ami Bera, Democratic candidate for the 3rd Congressional District, raised $1,729,069.93 in individual contributions for the election cycle ending Sept. 30. A story on Page 3 of Friday's News-Sentinel gave an incorrect figure.
Also, Bera's campaign committee did not receive any contributions from either the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee or Actblue, according to Bera spokesman David Bergstein. Instead, some individuals and organizations sent contributions for Bera to the committee or Actblue, with the two organizations forwarding the checks to the Bera campaign, Bergstein said.
Comments by Liberty Ranch High School principal Brian Deis regarding establishing benchmarks for math and English were made during the Oct. 12 school board meeting. He was not interviewed for an article about Galt standardized test scores that ran on Page 5 of Thursday's Lodi News-Sentinel.
Also, information regarding site administrators visiting every classroom and observing teachers in between each seminar should have been attributed to Galt Joint Union High School District Superintendent Daisy Lee.
