SIR Branch No. 145 meeting to feature Hospice of San Joaquin officials

Lodi SIR Branch No. 145 will host officials from the Hospice of San Joaquin at its meeting on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Moose Lodge, 3824 Woodbridge Road, Acampo.

Barbara Pombo, director of development, and Dennis Sorensen, professional aide, will speak about how people in their last days are supported, fortified and strengthened with respect to their comfort, pain control and stress relief. They will also address the goal of family bereavement support.

SIR serves the retired men of Lodi and surrounding communities without any expenses except for the small cost of the lunch. It is open to all retired and semi-retired. For more information, call Neal Welsh at 209-327-2068.
