The Galt City Council could approve spending $845,000 tonight to move forward with the planned roundabout on Twin Cities Road at Highway 99.
The money would be a contribution to the California Department of Transportation, which owns the right of way because of the proximity to the highway. The roundabout requires so-called mainline improvements to be performed by Caltrans on Highway 99 at the Twin Cities Road off ramp.

I so agree with Mr. Yates.....Round abouts are a disaster waiting to happen...
Park along the road in Woodbridge and count how many near misses there are everyday.....With the volumn of traffic off Twin Cities Road , Galt police will be very busy with major accidents and fender benders......... This should be a easy No vote for the council........

This will be one of the biggest boondoggles in Galt history. People will come from miles around to see the circus as vehicles try to enter and exit the busy roundabout. No one on that City Council listens to reason. Not only that...but this will tie up traffic on the North end of town and the work on C and A streets have the South end tied up. Great Planning.
