If you see a bunch of three-wheel Spider motorcycles heading down Turner Road toward the Delta on Sunday, they're doing it as a fundraiser for Lodi House.

About 50 people — most of them riding Spiders — will leave Marina Boat Sales on Beckman Road between 10:30 and 11 a.m. and head for Isleton before returning to Lodi, a distance of about 85 miles, according to John Hilscher, sales manager at Marina Boat Sales.

The Spider is a three-wheel vehicle, but they aren't tricycles, Hilscher said, because Spiders have two wheels in front and one in back.

Participating drivers and riders pay a $25 fee, or more if they desire to contribute additional money to Lodi House, Hilscher said.

Lodi House, at 801 S. Washington St., is a nonprofit agency that provides a shelter for homeless women and children, plus food, advocacy, counseling and workshops on many topics.
