City of Lodi officials are warning walkers and runners about an aggressive buck in the Lodi Lake Nature Area.

Staff posted a sign after several people voiced concerns about the deer following them and acting aggressively, interim Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Director Jeff Hood said.

The buck is in the middle of mating season and has been following people around the nature area. Bucks have been known to attack during mating season, Hood said.
