Lawrence is a sweet dog who needs a loving home. He is approximately 2 years old, and is a small dog weighing about 15 pounds. He would do well in an active home with or without children. Lawrence likes to play with the small dog play group, but had not been tested with cats.

Lawrence is being offered for adoption through PALS, a Lodi-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in Lodi. For more information about Lawrence, please call PALS at 209-224-0354 or email pals.lodi@yahoo.com.

Duke is a nearly 6-year-old whippet, hound and possibly pit bull mix who weighs about 25 pounds. He has been neutered, his vaccinations are current and he has a microchip.

Duke is house-trained and is a house dog. He sits at the door and cries to let you know he wants to go out. If he has a doggie door, he will use it. Duke knows the commands “sit,” “stay,” “down” and “come.” He has lived with cats and rabbits and is surprising good with them.

Duke is gentle, affectionate, playful and loving. He loves older children, but he gets nervous around toddlers. He is great with other dogs that are smaller and enjoys playing with them. He is intimidated by larger dogs. He enjoys riding in the car, walks well on a leash and loves going for walks. When he wants to play, he will bring you his toy and drop it in front of you.

Duke thinks of himself as a lap dog and will lay next to you. He has a little separation anxiety so a home with someone with him most of the time or where he can go to work with you would be best. He is a nice dog who enjoys dog parks and will make a great companion.

Duke is being offered for adoption through Animal Friends Connection, a Lodi nonprofit organization dedicated to helping companion animals since 1990. For more information about Duke, call or 209-365-0535.
