Local SkillsUSA teams win big at regional competition

Lodi and Bear Creek high schools cleaned up at the SkillsUSA Regional Championships.

Lodi High's drafting team won 18 gold medals and five silver medals.

Bear Creek High's team won 23 gold medals and nine silver medals.

The teams will now compete in the California State Skills-USA Leadership and Skills Championships on April 10 through 13.

They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl.
