A Modesto man suspected of committing several robberies, including five in Lodi, turned himself into Stanislaus County Jail earlier this month.

Troy Lance Boutelle, 47, turned himself into authorities on Jan. 5 after seeing a surveillance photo of himself in a Modesto area newspaper, according to Lodi Police Det. Hettie Schaeffer.

Lodi police, along with detectives from other agencies whose cities also experienced similar robberies, interviewed Boutelle.

Boutelle’s description matched that of a suspect in five robberies that occurred in Lodi in December at Prime Shine Car Wash, Starbucks, Hampton Inn and Subway’s on Kettleman Lane and Lodi Avenue, according to Schaeffer.

Butelle will face multiple counts of robbery.
