Evidence for a trial of a Stockton man accused of multiple bank robberies in the state is continuing to trickle in, prolonging the time before court proceedings can begin.
Phillip Dale Selfa, 58, faces charges related to four bank robberies in San Joaquin County between December 2010 and May 2011. Selfa is also accused of bank robberies in Stanislaus and Amador counties. He will be tried for all allegations in San Joaquin County.
Selfa was in court Tuesday morning as the court determined more time was needed for the discovery process in the case.
No date for a preliminary hearing has yet been set, said Donald Vaughn, deputy district attorney for San Joaquin County.
He is being held without bail in San Joaquin County Jail.
