Police shoot, kill escapee following pursuit through Lodi, Stockton, Acampo
A man was shot and killed by officers after a police pursuit started in Stockton and ending in Acampo at about 12:45 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2012. Officers were forced to shoot the suspect’s car, killing the driver and wounding a passenger after the driver allegedly rammed one cruiser and attempted to hit others.

San Joaquin County Sheriff’s deputies, California Highway Patrol and Stockton Police were forced to shoot and kill a suspect when he allegedly attempted to ram officers, ending a pursuit that started in Stockton and ended in Acampo early Monday, Aug. 27, 2012.

Officers shot and killed an escapee from the county Honor Farm early Monday morning after he led them on a wild chase through Stockton and Lodi that ended in Acampo.
Officers shot the man around 12:45 a.m. Monday after he attempted to back up into a California Highway Patrol officer and hit the patrol car at the corner of Woodbridge Road near the Highway 99 Frontage Road, CHP officer Angel Arceo said. A female passenger was also injured.

A friend of mine had gotten home not too long before he heard all the sirens coming....he was still outside when he heard everything come to a stop for around 5 minutes....then one gun fired 5 or 6 rounds and a plethora of shots after that.

Woke up, heard the sirens, saw the circling choppers, heard the series of shots and resecured my house. Chases happen more than I would like out here as they fly by. Glad no one else had to pay the price.
