San Joaquin County Superior Court is warning the public of an email scam.
The scammers send an email to victims claiming to be a clerk of the court. They tell the victims that they are scheduled to appear in court on a specific date and time, and that they should bring all court documents and witnesses relating to the case to court. The email adds that if they don’t attend the hearing, the judge may hear the case in their absence.
