Lodi High School will hold a ceremony today dedicating the football field and track area in honor of the late Don Womble.
Womble taught physical education at the school and coached the Flames’ cross country, track, football and wrestling teams. Although he retired in 1988, he continued coaching until his death last November.
The dedication will be held at 3 p.m. on the track to unveil the scoreboard. If it’s raining, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the school’s theater.
The ceremony is open to the public. Lodi High is located at 3 Pacific Ave.
