Budweiser horses at tonight’s Farmers Market

Budweiser Clydesdales will be parading through the Downtown Lodi Farmers Market tonight.

The clydesdales will meet in the Giant Discount Tire parking lot at the corner of Sacramento and Oak streets at 4:30 p.m. to get ready for the parade. At 5:30 p.m., they will make a loop of Downtown, going north on Sacramento Street, west on Locust Street, south on Church Street and then east on Lodi Avenue.

    Joanne, they are probably subject to the same restrictions as truckers and pilots. They can drive only so many hours and then are required to take naps.

    It's an all night drive, Ms. Mirfield. After so many hours behind the wheel, those Clydesdales will need about 12 hours to rest and recover to look their best.

    Looking forward to seeing these beauties!!

    This is wonderful! But I am curious...the story states:

    "The clydesdales will meet in the Giant Discount Tire parking lot at the corner of Sacramento and Oak streets at 4:30 a.m. to get ready for the parade."

    Are they all driving into town separately? Watch out for the Clydesdale behind the wheel of that convertible!!
