The community is invited to help organize this year's Lodi Zombie Walk at a planning meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Lodi American Legion Hall, 320 N. Washington St. at Lockeford Street.

After the meeting, participants are invited to Pizza Market in Lodi, where they will watch "The Walking Dead," according to zombie organizer Tom Presler.

On Thursday, free dance lessons for the Michael Jackson hit "Thriller" will be offered at 7 p.m. at Patricia Fitness, 112 S. Church St., Lodi.

The Zombie Walk, set for 8 p.m. Oct. 29, will be held throughout Downtown Lodi. There will also be parties, pub crawl, midnight movie, special shows and a costume contest. Tickets are $10 per person or $15 for two. Proceeds benefit local troops and veterans through Lodi American Legion Post 22.

For more information, call Presler at 200-1102 or visit www.thezombieclub. org.
