The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:

Today

Lodi Library Board of Trustees

Key items:

  • Adopt a policy for providing exam proctoring services and create a fee to provide the service.
  • Approve co-sponsoring a Reading and Literacy Fair with the News-Sentinel.
  • Confirm and adopt a Lodi Public Library Circulation Notification policy.
  • Receive information on phase III renovation project.

Lodi Animal Advisory Commission

The regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.

Galt Joint Union Elementary School District Board of Trustees special meeting

Key items:

  • Discuss in closed session the resignation of the Marengo Ranch Elementary School principal and the appointment of a new principal.
  • Receive and discuss a report on district transportation service.

When and where: 7 p.m., Marengo Ranch Elementary School, 1000 Elk Hills Drive, Galt.

Tuesday

Lodi City Council shirtsleeve

Key items:

  • Discuss the proposed budget for the water, wastewater and Electric Utility funds for the 2012 to 2013 fiscal year, which starts July 1.
  • Receive an overview of the water, wastewater and Electric Utility funds for third quarter of the current fiscal year.

Lodi Sister City Committee special meeting

Key items:

  • Discuss the possibility of the Sister City Committee doing fireworks booth sales.
  • Recap of the 7th annual Sister City Crab Feed on March 10.
  • Discuss a Northern California Board meeting on April 28 in Millbrae.
  • Consider the Sister Cities International Conference in Jacksonville, Florida.

When and where: 6 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Galt City Council

Key items:

  • Approve a $39,980 contract with a firm to oversee the Quiet Zone implementation.
  • Designate a voting member for the League of California Cities annual conference.

When and where: 7 p.m. Galt City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Wednesday

Lodi City Council

Key items:

  • Authorize the City Manager to send a letter to San Joaquin County opposing the Development Title Text Amendment that would prohibit marketing events at wineries.
  • Receive a presentation by the Lodi Public Library foundation on the Carnegie Wall Mural project and fundraising efforts.
  • Approve a resolution approving California Public Employees’ Retirement System contributions from employees.
  • Approve a $863,466 contract with A.M. Stephens Construction Company to the Hutchins Street reconstruction project.
  • Introduce an ordinance amending the city’s Vehicle Code to match the state’s code that became effective July 1, 2011. The revision restricts the city to only attempt collection on violations of its local traffic regulations.

Thursday

Lockeford Municipal Advisory Council

Key items:

  • Progress report on plans for Lockeford Memorial Park on Jack Tone Road.
  • Possible letter of support by the MAC for the park and community center that is planned.
  • Continued discussion of residents’ request for traffic signal at Highway 88 and the Jack Tone Road bypass.
  • Reports by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol.

When and where: 7 p.m., old Lockeford schoolhouse, 19456 N. Jack Tone Road.

San Joaquin County Planning Commission

Key items:

  • Revise conditions of previously approved expansion of existing winery at Woodbridge and Kennefick roads, Acampo. No marketing events are proposed. Applicant requests buildout over an additional 12 years. Current plans call for six phases over a 10-year period.
  • Plan revision for Our Lady of Fatima Society in Thornton for use of St. John’s Arena this year. The society requests permission to conduct rodeos from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on May 19-21, June 9-11, July 7-9, Aug. 11-13, Sept. 8-10 and Sept. 29-Oct. 1. The organization also requests permission to conduct bloodless bullfighting from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Oct. 19-22.

Galt Beautification Committee

When and where: 3:30 p.m., City Hall community room, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Friday

San Joaquin County Local Agency Formation Commission

Key item: Final budget and fee schedule for the 2012-13 fiscal year.

When and where: 10 a.m., Board of Supervisors’ chambers, 44 N. San Joaquin St., sixth floor, Stockton.
