Two men were arrested on suspicion of trying to burglarize the Lodi Walmart after leading police on a high-speed chase that ended in Stockton on Thursday morning.

At approximately 3:54 a.m., the Lodi Police Department responded to a call that three men were attempting to remove items from a storage shed at the Walmart on West Kettleman Lane.

When police arrived at the scene, the three men allegedly fled in a silver Chevrolet Silverado pick-up, Sgt. Fernando Martinez said.

The police continued to pursue the suspects into Stockton, where the California Highway Patrol took over, Martinez said. During the chase, the suspects reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour, he said.

Two of the three men were arrested. Jerome Fletcher, a 28-year-old man from Tracy, and Eric Reyes, a 26-year-old man from Turlock, are now in custody. The third suspect is still at-large, Martinez added.

According to Martinez, one of the men who attempted to evade police tried to escape on foot, but was bitten and brought down by a K-9 unit. He was taken to San Joaquin General Hospital for treatment before being brought into custody.

Should anyone have any information on the third suspect, they are encouraged to call the Lodi Police Department at 209-333-6727 or Crime Stoppers at 209-333-6771.

More criminals desperate for free health care from the prison system, OBVIOUSLY!!! They knew they wouldn't get it from jail, so they opted for MORE VIOLENT CRIME!

This will be the wave of the future...KEEP CRIMINAL SCUM IN PRISON and NO MORE FREE HEALTH CARE!!!!!

I have to admit I did have a sip of wine when I got home from the military. Spit it out and never tried it again. NyQuil when I have a bad cold is the extent of my alcohol intake. Racist? Obviously some people don't know the real meaning of racist or even care. Everything that they don't agree with they label as racist. Easy no thinking retort and because they have NO real ability to refute the facts. Angry? You bet. Especially at the cost to the American taxpayer for unearned entitlements.
