The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office released the total number of arrests and confiscations from the two day Safe Holiday Operation this week.

On Wednesday, 10 teams spent an eight hour shift contacting parolees and others on probation and searching their homes. Officers focused on the homes of known gang members and violent offenders. On Thursday, the same teams were assigned hotspots of known criminal activity. Over both days, 83 arrests were made.

Officers confiscated 9 pounds of marijuana, 26 guns, 1 ballistics vest, and one weapon suppressor or silencer.

The operation was a joint effort of several law enforcement agencies, including the Lodi Police Department, and was organized by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.
