A proposal to convert Harney Lane into a four-lane expressway from Lower Sacramento Road to Stockton Street will be discussed at an informational meeting Tuesday night.

Lodi's General Plan calls for Harney lane to have a raised landscape median, according to Jan Stanley, senior associate for Judith Buethe Communications.

The meeting will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Henderson Community Day School, 13451 Extension Road, Lodi. An oral presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in an open-house format before and after the presentation.

Comments and questions may be mailed to the Harney Lane Specific Plan, P.O. Box 773, Stockton, CA 95201-0773. For more information, call Stanley at 464-4350, send an e-mail to hotline@buethecommunications.com or visit www.harneyspecificplan.com.

Assemblywoman Alyson Huber measures clear Assembly

The Assembly approved two governmental reform measures designed to identify waste, duplication and inefficiencies in state departments and agencies, according to Assemblywoman Alyson Huber, D-El Dorado Hills.

Assembly Bills 1659 and 2130, which the Assembly approved Thursday, would create a process to conduct comprehensive and regular review of the state's many boards, commissions, agencies and departments.
