Lodi firefighters took on the duties of waiters and waitresses, sold pink shirts and collected cash donations for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at Chili’s restaurant on Wednesday.
The firefighters will hold the fundraiser again next Wednesday at the restaurant at 2745 W. Kettleman Lane.
Lodi residents can print flyers and bring them in to Chili’s to give 15 percent of their meal to the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The firefighters also will collect cash donations and sell T-shirts at lunch and dinner.
The fundraiser was one of several the fire department will be hosting in October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The pink shirts can be purchased for $12 at any of the four Lodi fire stations and department’s administration building at 25 E. Pine St.
Station locations are 210 W. Elm St., 705 E. Lodi Ave., 2141 S. Ham Lane and 180 N. Lower Sacramento Road.
The pink shirts include a pink ribbon and say “Lodi Fire Dept.” on the back.
