Lodi city officials spent Tuesday morning patrolling the Lodi Lake Nature Area after a citizen reported seeing a mountain lion around dusk Monday.

The park’s nature area remained closed throughout the morning as a precaution until city staff could post a sign at the entrance warning visitors of the sighting and suggesting visitors not to walk the paths alone.

For the life of me I don't know why drug addicts, alcoholics, homeless, mentaly ill, runaways, ex-cons or folks that HATE Lodi and everything about it think they can get away with dressing up in a cougar costume at Lodi Lake on a hot summer day but I would like them to stop it.

Next comment we will be reading is where Doug will volunteer to go kick that cougar (IF) it really exists out of the Lodi lake area since he believes the City of Lodi is behind the cougar sighting.

Doug, you don't fool me. I know it was you in that lion costume you wear during Halloween lurking in the bushes at Lodi Lake.[beam]

The city should send the three fearless amigos, Hansen, Johnson and Katzakian to investigate this cougar and let the community see them finally having to actually work and earn their city welfare checks for the wealthy? LOL
