The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:

Today

Lodi Animal Advisory Commission

Key items:

  • Review commission responsibilities.
  • Consider mid-year amendments to annual report to City Council.
  • Reports on shelter improvements, disaster preparedness and animal statistics for April.

When and where: 6 p.m., Lodi Police Department community room, 215 W. Elm St., Lodi.

Galt City Council Youth Committee

Key items:

  • Develop meeting/event ground rules.
  • Set event dates through December.

When and where: 6 p.m., City Hall community room, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Lodi Public Library Board

Key items:

  • Progress report on design and planning for library’s Phase II renovation.
  • Report on library’s operating budget for the 2011-12 fiscal year.
  • Discuss using private-sector trust fund investment earnings to purchase books and other materials.

When and where: 5:30 p.m., Lodi Public Library, 201 W. Locust St., Lodi.

Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission

Tonight’s meeting is rescheduled to July 18.

Tuesday

Lodi City Council shirtsleeve

Key item: Development impact fee program update.

When and where: 7 a.m., Carnegie Forum 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Galt Joint Union High School District board of trustees

Key items:

  • Report on impact of state budget on district’s adopted financial plan for 2011-12.
  • Approve ratification of tentative agreement with classified employees for July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2014.

When and where: 6:30.m., City Hall City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Lodi Improvement Committee

Key items:

  • Amend bylaws to reduce membership requirements.
  • Reports from the police, public works and community development departments.

When and where: 6 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

  • Emergency resolution to ban use of the Mokelumne River between the fish hatchery on McIntire Road and the Bruella Road bridge in Victor, and between Woodbridge Dam and Peltier Road.
  • Update by Barbara Barrigan-Parilla, executive director of Restore the Delta.
  • Agreement with California Department of Food and Agriculture for European grapevine moth trapping services.
  • Recognition of Ron Baldwin, who is retiring as county emergency services director.
  • Recognition of New Directions Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program in Stockton.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

  • Public hearing on preferred redistricting of Board of Supervisors’ districts and set Aug. 2 for a public hearing on final adoption.
  • Appeal by David Lind of county denial of weed abatement cost recovery for property at 4018 W. Sargent Road, Lodi.
  • Appeal by Pilot-Flying J of the county Planning Commission’s of a use permit application for a 12-acre truck stop/convenience store on the east side of Thornton Road, north of Highway 12, in Flag City.

Wednesday

Lodi Planning Commission

Key items:

  • Use permit to allow outdoor seating and drinking area at Ollie’s Pub in conjunction with its existing ABC license at 22 N. School St.
  • Use permit requests for on-sale beer and wine license at Woodbridge Pizzeria, 1110 W. Kettleman Lane, and at an establishment at 550 S. Cherokee Lane.

Lodi Arts Commission

Key items:

  • Pub volunteers and signups.
  • Reports on the Art Advisory Board, Taco Truck Cookoff, Art Hop and Project Lodi Art.
  • 30th anniversary ideas for 2012.
  • Commissioner handbook revision.

When and where: Noon, Wine & Roses, 2505 W. Turner Road, Lodi.

Woodbridge Sanitary District board

Key items:

  • Consider request by California Waste Recovery Systems to increase garbage fees in Woodbridge by 2.6 percent.
  • Discuss staffing needs and requirements of the district.
  • Consider establishing performance evaluation standards for the general manager and wastewater treatment plant operator.
  • Consider new policies regarding use of district property, assuring financial accountability, prior authorization of expenditures to vendors by use of purchase orders.
  • Consider forming the following board committees — maintenance and capital improvement, visit and review operational procedures of other sanitary districts, review State Water Resources Control Board’s plant operation requirements, and developing a business plan.

Galt Parks and Recreation Commission

Lodi Site Plan & Architectural Review Committee

Thursday

Woodbridge Irrigation District board

Key Items:

  • Watermaster report.
  • Construction update of new district office.

When and where: 9 a.m., Woodbridge Irrigation District office, 18777 N. Lower Sacramento Road.

Galt Planning Commission

Regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.

Southeast Area Community Planning Advisory Council

Key items:

  • Use permit to construct a church on 3.28 acres at 12735 Cherokee Lane, north of Twin Cities Road, Galt. Plans call for a 2,553-square-foot meeting hall and a 405-square-foot cabana.
  • Presentation of interim urgency ordinance regarding the cultivation and dispensing of medical marijuana in Sacramento County.
  • Updates on Sacramento County’s efforts to protect Swainson’s hawk habitat, plans to construct a large surface mining project in the Borden Ranch area, the Freeport Regional Water Project and policy changes in agricultural land mitigation.

Reclamation District 348 board

Key items:

  • Levee rehabilitation on the Mokelumne River from Interstate 5 west to Wimpy’s Marina.
  • Resolution to elect directors to the Special District Risk Management Authority board of directors and completion of election ballot.

Thornton Rural Fire District board

When and where: 7:30 p.m., fire station, 25999 N. Thornton Road, Thornton.

Liberty Rural Fire District board

When and where: 7 p.m., fire station, 24124 N. Bruella Road, Acampo.

Friday

San Joaquin County Local Agency Formation Commission

Key item: Final municipal service review of rural fire protection districts.

When and where: 10 a.m., Board of Supervisors’ chambers, 44 N. San Joaquin St., sixth floor, Stockton.
