Second suspect in hammer assult arrested

The second suspect police were searching for in connection with an assault involving a hammer earlier this week was arrested Thursday night.

Police arrested Anthony Scott Hancock, 19, who was wanted in connection to an assault that occurred on Wednesday.

    attempted murder....Purposely did or omitted to do anything which, under the circumstances as
    a reasonable person would believe them to be, is an act or omission constituting a
    substantial step in a course of conduct planned to culminate in (his/her) causing the death of the victim.

    I believe there has to be intent to kill for it to be murder. And if they intended to rob him blind, not kill him, then it's assault. It's a strike, either way.
