The city of Lodi is holding a contest for local shutterbugs who want to showcase their work on the front of the Parks, Recreations and Cultural Services summer activity guide.

The city is looking for both amateur and professional photographers to submit photos of local residents enjoying different activities around Lodi. The theme is “Recreation in Lodi.”

The winner’s photo will be printed on 25,000 copies of the activity guide, which lists city-sponsored classes, sports and other activities.

Anyone in the greater Lodi area can participate, including residents in Woodbridge, Acampo, Lockeford, Clements and Linden.

Feb. 15 is the deadline for submissions. While it is not a requirement, it is a bonus if the photos are from a department-sponsored activity.

Photos must meet a minimum resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch), so they are large enough to print.

To submit photos, visit lodiprcs.blogspot.com to download an entry form that asks questions about the photo, such as where it was taken and the photographer’s name.

Then email the photo and the entry form to vcarloni@lodi.gov or hand-deliver them to Hutchins Street Square, 125 S. Hutchins St., Lodi.

For more information, contact Veronica Carloni or Elida Harris at 209-333-5511.
