In commemoration of Martin Luther King Day this month, Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton, is asking everyone to volunteer their time to an effort of their choice.

McNerney will participate in volunteer efforts throughout his district, which includes the Lodi area, during January. Next week, he will teach people at the Dublin Senior Center how to play the puzzle game, Sudoku.

McNerney staff members in his Stockton and Pleasanton offices can help people with volunteer opportunities.

The public may submit photos, anecdotes or videos of their volunteerism by email to mcnerneyservice@ mail.house.gov. Some of the entries will be featured on McNerney's website, www.mcnerney.house.gov, and on his official Facebook page, www.facebook.com/jerrymcnerney.

What Jerry McNerney is good at is promoting HIMSELF, at taxpayers expense.
