Thursday marked Paul Huck’s first court appearance regarding charges he is facing of raping a woman near the train tracks in Lodi.

Huck appeared briefly in court around 10:30 a.m., and was assigned an attorney to represent him in his case.

However, further arraignment for Huck was delayed due to new discoveries with the case as well as a possible amendment to the current complaint, according to Huck’s newly appointed attorney.

Huck faces charges of raping a 49-year-old woman near the train tracks just south of Lodi Avenue. He was arrested late Tuesday night.

Huck has faced similar charges within the last six months, according to police, but the district attorney eventually decided against pressing charges.

Huck is still being held on $270,000 bail.

He is scheduled to appear in Lodi court again Feb. 16.
