Day for Kids at the Lodi Boys and Girls Club

The Lodi Boys and Girls Club will hold its Day for Kids on Saturday. Day for Kids is a Boys and Girls Club national initiative inviting the community to help Boys and Girls Clubs across the nation make a difference in the lives of children in their community.

It is a celebration of the time that adults and children spend together, and provides an opportunity to support the youths of the community.

The Day for Kids celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Boys and Girls Club, 275 E. Poplar St., Lodi. The celebration will include games, a bounce house, visits by a fire truck and police car, face painting and raffles.

The event is free, and all children and parents are encouraged to attend.

The first 30 people to register at the membership booth will receive a free 2013 membership.
