LOCKEFORD - Community leaders need to come up with a unified plan about what kind of park Lockeford residents want - a park with picnic tables, benches and trails? One filled with baseball and soccer fields? Or both?

And furthermore, the community may be asked to pay $40 to $50 per year to maintain the park off Jack Tone Road.

Not everyone in Lockeford has access to horses, many farmers do not allow random people on their land, and what lakes are there? I grew up here, with horses, with pastures, and STILL would have loved a "real" park to play in. Yes, country is awesome, but there are many benefits to slides, swings, baseball and soccer fields. I think $50 per year is well worth it. My children would love it!!

Lockeford is a park in itself.. There are pastures and the sort for all kids to play in... I wish as a kid I grew up with so much open space... Lockeford has the river, a variety of lakes, horses to ride, streets to play on that have no sidewalks....

Why ruin it with a man made park...
