A Mexican culture display and corn tortilla-making demonstration will be among the activities at Thursday’s Cinco de Mayo celebration starting at 1 p.m. at New Hope School, 26675 N. Sacramento Blvd., Thornton. Activities will be in the school cafeteria and outside as well.
At 12:15 p.m., parents are invited to an assembly to help prepare their children for the STAR test.
And at 2 p.m. Friday, New Hope students will present money raised for tsunami victims in Japan to the Red Cross. The presentation will be at the citizen of the month assembly. For more information, call 794-2376.
