Two suspects sought in Wednesday's shooting death of Brian McDaniel, 31, were arrested early Saturday morning by the Elk Grove Police Department, according to a press release from the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.

Kevin Jackson, 23, and Molly Wilson, 25, were arrested after being involved in a solo traffic collision, according to sheriff's spokesman Les Garcia.

McDaniel had been in a Sacramento hospital on life support until Friday. He was shot in the head at about 8 p.m. Wednesday on the 1400 block of East Acampo Road.

The motive for the shooting is unclear and the investigation is ongoing, according to authorities.

Jackson was taken into custody by Elk Grove police on unrelated charges and booked into Sacramento County Jail, where he will remain until San Joaquin County files murder charges, Garcia said.

Wilson was taken to a local hospital and later booked on suspicion of murder at San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.

Thank goodness these children have grandparents that can take care of them.

I agree with your comments Betty. This whole situation is just so sad. It makes me feel like crying everytime I think about it. I feel so bad for the families. What a tragedy this is. My heart goes out to the family of Brian McDaniel. He has so many family members and friends who love him. This whole thing is a shock to all. It's quite a shock to everyone also that these two were arrested for his murder, since they were all friends. Everyone is devastated.

Thanks Mr. Jackson, I'm glad you made such an important point on these suspects. When did they go to trial and when were they pronounced guilty? And just what does your comment have to do with this ssubject?
