You can get a head start on Christmas by attending three events in four days this week — one each in Lodi, Lockeford and Galt. Here are the events:
Wednesday, 6 p.m.: Tree-lighting ceremony by the Clements-Lockeford Chamber of Commerce and Hospice of San Joaquin at the corner of Highway 88 and the Jack Tone Bypass Road.
It will give people an opportunity to remember their loved ones during this ceremony.
Highlights: Christmas craft fair from 5 to 8 p.m., with free hot dogs served by the Clements-Lockeford Lions Club. Cookies and hot chocolate will also be served. The Mokelumne Rural Fire District will give away two bicycles.
